feature-anniversary

Since we were in the Bay area for our anniversary, we decided to go to one of our favorite restaurants for dinner. Mr S was at a sleepover and Mr T was babysitting Divagirl so we had a date night at Shabuway in San Mateo. Shabu shabu, for those who may not know, is a delicious Japanese meal brought out to you raw, then you cook the veggies and ultra thin slices of meat in a boiling pot of seasoned broth. Then you dip the cooked bits in sauces and eat it with rice. Yum!

Afterwards, the smell of chocolate drew us across the street to a chocolate shop filled with handmade tasty treats. She even had samples of chocolate covered strawberries. The confections we tried we amazing!

We don’t often get the opportunity to have an evening out together without the children, so this was a lovely night.
